As a human development and family studies professor, I have spent the last 10 years learning about and developing a deep understanding of human development and family dynamics, particularly those that involve and affect women. One might think I have this whole Mom thing figured out, right?

​

Nope! As a mom, I often get overwhelmed by all of my responsibilities and frustrated that there is never enough time for me and my needs. In addition to the fact, that I've spent more than 20 years of my life battling anxiety. I always thought the best way to deal with it was to ignore it. But after the birth of my second child, my whole world was rocked. I experienced debilitating postpartum anxiety and I realized I finally had to face my anxiety head on. So I did a major overhaul on my life. I got really clear about what was important to me and how I wanted my life to look. I reached out to everyone (friends, family, therapists, doctors, naturopaths) and tried everything until I found the balance I had been looking for my entire life.

 

Now I work with anxious mamas to facilitate their self-growth and to help rid them of their anxiety. There is no one-size-fits-all solution and change takes time. But...
